APPLICATIONS ARE CLOSED
Discedo will be closing soon, and we are no longer accepting applications.

Applications are processed every Saturday. To make sure your application is processed please submit it by 11:59 PM Saturday at the latest. Please check the Taken Characters list and the Reserves page before applying.

  • Currently we accept any canon as long as there is an English translation (fan translations qualify)

  • OCs are not currently accepted

  • Real life figures must be from a scripted canon, not real life (ex. you may not app Thomas Jefferson straight from history, but you may app him from the musical 1776)

  • We accept both Hetalia and Nyotalia characters. The requirement for each is that they have an official design by Himaruya and either one line in a strip or at least two sentences of notes from Himaruya. In Hetalia and Nyotalia apps we're looking for at least one paragraph of the personality section (four sentences) dedicated to canon traits as seen through strips, audio dramas, anime episodes and notes from Himaruya. For characters with sparse information you may extrapolate details from their official design or the situations they're found in in canon.

  • For vocaloids we require at least two major songs to be linked and discussed in the personality section (ex. discussing what side of Luka Megurine's personality Just Be Friends shows). Currently we only accept official vocaloids. We also accept PV vocaloids such as the Of Evil series, but this is a case by case basis, if you're not certain please don't be afraid to ask for clarification on the Suggestion Box page

    ⇨personality:

    John's serious side is often shown when dealing with very sick patients, the death of patients, when dealing with truly serious situations, his interns, and usually with his narrating. When a patient that is very young or older and is suffering, John usually keeps his childishness and immaturity at bay. He maintains a seriousness and shows the patient that he will try his hardest to help them. When dealing with emergencies such as a patient coming in from heart attack, or such, John runs to the situation, acts mature, takes control, and gets the situation solved as soon as possible. And if he loses a patient during these moment, he sighs and keeps seriousness until the situation clears up, or something else grabs his attention.
    Usually his serious narrations come at the end of an episode, typically when a patient has died, or he's at a funeral, or when he goes through a breakup. He is also shown being serious with his mentor a few select times. Once because Dr. Cox had ended up killing a good amount of people because he did not check to see if the donor had rabies or not, which she did. John spoke to Perry about it, and he semi recovered. However the next day he showed up drunk and John was the one who saw him drunk and sent him home with an angry voice. He then refused to show up to comfort him again, depressing Perry more until John finally did and gave him a serious and angry speech.

    Also could I get a prompt for the third person sample? I'm kinda stuck ;w;

    ⇨third person sample: I'm going to do a mix of his personal narration and third person. I believe that is one error I made in the other sample.

    I had just gotten back Mrs. Wilson's results from the lab. It was confirmed, she had sickle cell anemia. As I walked to her room, I spotted in the distance The Janitor speaking with Elliot. If I walked in this direction surely I would be stopped by him and would have lost precious time. So I turned around and took a different direction. As I walked I came across a patient who had 'Walking Corpse Syndrome', in other words he believed himself to be dead. I yelled to him, 'You're not dead!', and walked along. Finally I made it to Mrs. Wilson's room and walked in on her with her daughter, father, and husband. I swallowed deeply and held up my chart.

    As J.D. scanned through the chart one last time, he spoke in a firm and deep voice. "Mrs. Wilson, you have sickle cell anemia. It's a disease passed down from your family. Your red blood cells form an abnormal shape or crescent like." He stared at her for a moment, then at her daughter, then at her husband, and finally at her father. J.D. took in all their emotions and noticed the pain they each carried as he spoke those words. His eyes soften. Mrs. Wilson asked him what was going to happen. He told her that over time the spleen refuses to work and that she had waited too long to come in and get herself checked, but that they were going to try and do their best for her. Blood transfusions were in order, and they were going to get her the medicines needed.
    With a slight nod of the head, J.D. excused himself and walked out.

    It's always hard to tell a patient what's wrong with them. But at the same time it's a relief. It would be worse if we couldn't figure out what was wrong with them or made a mistake and either gave them the wrong treatment or let them walk away. As for Mrs. Wilson, I only hoped for the best. Hopefully she would have her daughter get the proper examination to see if she had the same disease or not. One could only hope for the best.

    As I walked away I bumped into The Janitor, by the way who was looking for me, and I stood there. I gave him a look, lifted my head and walked away. I had no time for him. I needed to fill in an order for Mrs. Wilson's medicine. I had an odd feeling The Janitor would get his revenge on me. Hopefully he'll be a bit less angry about it. After all I wanted to be there for Mrs. Wilson, or at least I hope I could.
