Applications are processed every Saturday. To make sure your application is processed please submit it by 11:59 PM Saturday at the latest. Please check the Taken Characters list and the Reserves page before applying.Currently we accept any canon as long as there is an English translation (fan translations qualify) OCs are not currently accepted Real life figures must be from a scripted canon, not real life (ex. you may not app Thomas Jefferson straight from history, but you may app him from the musical 1776) We accept both Hetalia and Nyotalia characters. The requirement for each is that they have an official design by Himaruya and either one line in a strip or at least two sentences of notes from Himaruya. In Hetalia and Nyotalia apps we're looking for at least one paragraph of the personality section (four sentences) dedicated to canon traits as seen through strips, audio dramas, anime episodes and notes from Himaruya. For characters with sparse information you may extrapolate details from their official design or the situations they're found in in canon. For vocaloids we require at least two major songs to be linked and discussed in the personality section (ex. discussing what side of Luka Megurine's personality Just Be Friends shows). Currently we only accept official vocaloids. We also accept PV vocaloids such as the Of Evil series, but this is a case by case basis, if you're not certain please don't be afraid to ask for clarification on the Suggestion Box page

Personality: Preston is known to be a rather quiet person, speaking only when he has something in particular to say or add into a conversation. In fact he is one of the most silent people in the entire game, often times not portraying a whole lot of emotion depending on the circumstance. This leads him to be a rather meek type of fellow, sometimes stuttering or talking in a quiet and cool tone of voice. It is generally because of his quiet nature that he can sometimes be easily forgotten or overlooked, as seen in the first game. As a result of this he can usually be dragged into something relatively easy, so long as he is not totally against it. He does this mostly out of a want to be recognized by others, as well as a sense of wanting to keep his head down and not sticking out like a sore thumb.
Of course despite this quiet personality he can be rather vocal about his opinions at times to the point of practically yelling at others in anger if the situation calls for it. This is best seen when his two-squad mates, Haggard and Sweetwater, were ready to give up after seeing the strength behind the Russian’s secret weapon. Now to top off all of this he can be considered one of the smarter and skilled members of Bad-company. Preston will usually use his cleverness in high jacking enemy vehicles, utilizing almost anything as a weapon and being a general handy man in terms of repairing vehicles and using an incredibly large arsenal of weapons and tools. His cleverness is not just wasted on battlefield smarts either. Preston can also be heard making some rather insightful remarks at times; showing incredible intellect at times that is usually overshadowed by his quietness and the fact that he generally sees himself more as a follower and team player.
Preston can also be seen as being extremely brave, to the point of almost sheer recklessness, and never one to back down from a fight. Even when everything seems lost he will still move forward, and through either sheer luck, skill or stupidity, usually comes out on top. To compliment all of this Preston is also fiercely loyal to those he views as a friend or ally. At one point in time he had actually took on the entire Russian military in order to try and save his team who had been captured behind enemy lines. And what’s more, he had succeeded, leaving behind a trail of bodies and destruction in his wake. Because of this loyalty he can be seen as a rather friendly person, and appears to enjoy being in the company of others as well.
And to compliment this bravery and courage, he is both physically and mentally tough and hardened. Having received this from both his military training and experiences on the battlefield. In canon he could often be seen dispatching enemies with relative ease and coolness. And while he does not enjoy or revel in the act of killing another human, if anything the screams of the dead will forever haunt his dreams. However, he has been both told and trained on how to both precisely and brutally kill another man, as well as been told that such things are both a necessity and expected of him at times of war. Because of this he seems to be able to kill and repress any emotions of regret or remorse whilst in the act itself. Although when he is left in peace he seems to posses a very tired and possibly troubled mind.
Powers & Abilities: Preston has been given military training, strengthening both his body and mind. He knows how to fight with both his bare hands and a knife. As well as shows proficiency with just about any vehicle and weapon. Though he has been shown to not know how to fly planes or jets.
What items will they be bringing with them to Discedo? I was hoping to have Preston bring in an M16A4 with a red dot sight, an M1911 pistol, 6 remote detonated C4, 4 hand grenades, the K-bar knife and his combat uniform. Though of course he is not going to have any ammunition on him, his guns will be missing a few crucial parts to them, such as both of them missing their firing pins, with the M16 would be missing it’s trigger and gas chamber. Plus, for obvious reasons, the red dot will not work. And of course the detonator for the C4 will need to be fixed, or replaced, as well. Essentially most of his stuff is going to be broken on arrival.

Third-Person Sample: Preston sighed as he sat down on the snow covered ground. Watching idly as groups of soldiers, and prisoners of war, marched past him. The Russian invasion of Alaska had been a failure, it seemed. It was something that brought a small amount of relief to the man as he began to ponder what would happen now? Every attempt at invasion had been thwarted, so now what? Would he and his friends finally be able to go home for some much deserved rest and relaxation? Probably not, there was still far too much to do. Such as help repel the rest of the Russian forces out of Asia. Then there was a possible march to Moscow, something that excited him to no end. After all, taking the capital might actually just bring the war to a close. Thus allowing him and his friends to finally return home.
Preston, for one, would certainly enjoy such a prospect quite a bit. That is, if they even survived to make it that far. Though with just how much they had accomplished thus far, they had better make it. In fact, he was certain they would. After all, in these situations you have to always keep positive. A trait that he somewhat felt pride in for having. Then after all was said and done, what would happen? He wasn’t exactly going to leave the military, so just what would he have to face after the war?
He contemplated that thought for a few more moments before drumming his fingers against his knees and standing up. That was much too far into the future to be thinking about at the moment. For now he was going to have to regroup with his squad and get back to work. The war wasn’t going to end itself, after all.
First-Person Sample: Er…so I was thinking that, maybe we should try and make our own kind of government. Y-ya know, so that we can bring in more structure and order to the city. Not to say that we don’t have anything like that right now…It’s just that, maybe it would be better if we organized ourselves a bit more like an actual group of people. As opposed to persons who had been kidnapped and brought here against our wills…I-I mean, perhaps we would all have a better chance at surviving this place and going home if we do so?
Just a thought, that’s all. We don’t have to go through with it or anything it’s just that…
{Sighs.} I think It really would make things a whole lot easier if we did so, ya know? So…yeah, Preston out.
