Scientist Requests
Ever wanted a jukebox? A motorcycle? Some goddamn brownies in this hellhole? Here's the place to ask it! Characters (or players respectively) may ask for anything their heart desires from the scientists here. While we may not approve everything, you'll never know unless you ask. If your character makes an IC post requesting these things, link it here to make certain we see it. You may also skip the IC portion and request OOCly here (requests do not have to be in the interests of your character, if you really want them to wake up with a velociraptor in bed you can ask for that too).


Chip Removals
Upon arriving in-game every character is fitted with an untraceable microchip beneath their skin. This chip cancels out any super human powers including, but not limited to: abnormal strength, telepathy, the ability to shoot missiles from their fingers, telekinesis, magic, shape-shifting. The only way to regain these abilities is to have the chip removed. A risky procedure, this can only be done by characters in-game who know the chip's location. OOCly characters are required to have been in the game two weeks before applying for removal.

Depending on game schedule you may be asked to move your removal date to a later time to avoid conflict with other chip removals, player plots or mod events. <b>Who will be removing the chip?</b> For this section we need one of the following: -A link to an IC or OOC thread where your character and another character or you and another player agreed to have their character remove the chip -The player of the character doing the removal to comment to this post if the above isn't available -If your character is removing it themself a link to the thread where they found out the location <b>City your character will be in for the duration of the removal?</b> <b>Powers they'll be regaining?</b> We need an actual list from you describing the powers your character will be regaining. Restrictions may be applied to game breaking powers (such as teleportation or insta-death), but this will be discussed with you prior to approval. <b>Chip Event Outline:</b> When a character's chip is removed they're sick for a week (think really bad cold) and find their powers going out of control. If you choose to hold a wide-scale game event involving your character's out of control powers we need a quick write-up here.


Anonymous Chip Removals
These are mod-run chip removals that can be applied for even when the current chip location is unknown in-game. We accept 3 applicants per month. This is by player. If you've already been approved for one anonymous chip removal for the month you will not be approved for a second one with another character.

Anonymous chip removals work differently than normal ones. You don't need any IC threads to request one. ICly characters are using their communicators at midnight when they're redirected to a page that states only:

Upon entering their name characters will disappear for the entirety of the next day. They'll have no memory of this day or even be aware that they were missing for a day, but reappear the following day in a location of player choosing (home, gutter, frenemy's bed, etc). For the next six days they'll be subject to the whims of the chip removal god. Effects may be one of the following:

»Nothing. Nada. Zip. Your character is perfectly fine. They're just missing a day from their life. Well... that's awkward.

»Normal chip removal sickness (and optional powers out of control chip event). Same old same old. Hopefully they can make it through the next six days without accidentally setting someone on fire or puking on the curtains.

»Transformation. Over the course of the next six days they will transform (either physically, emotionally/mentally, or both) into something of your choosing. Monster, table, kitten, angel, another character entirely, Barney the purple dinosaur. It's entirely up to you. They'll gain the abilities of whatever they transform into as well (which we will require you to list on the form below to be approved). After the six days are up they'll revert to normal.

»Player choice. If you have an effect you'd like to have happen feel free to submit it on your form. Alternate effects could be things such as sharing their memories with everyone they come into physical contact with, turning all they see to stone, having roses spring up behind them wherever they go, being unable to stop dancing. Anything and everything! Just make sure you write out what you want to have happen on the form clearly. The modteam does reserve the write to reject any effects we feel are game breaking (your character can't gain the power to magically send everyone home), but in most cases we'll work on you with it to make it fit in better.


After the six days are up characters return to normal (sans chip) and it's up to player discretion to decide how much they remember of the past six days.
